Northwest Territories (NWT; French: les Territoires du Nord-Ouest,
is a territory of Canada. With and an estimated population of 43,537 in 2013, the Northwest
Territories is the most populous territory in Northern Canada.
Yellowknife is the capital city and largest community
of the Northwest Territories (NT or NWT), Canada. It is the only city in Northwest
Territories. It is located on the northern shore of Great Slave Lake.
Tulita, which in Dene language means "where the rivers or waters meet,"
is a hamlet in the Sahtu Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada.
It was formerly known as Fort Norman, until 1 January 1996.
